Keeping it old school

Post: # 143Post Zedbra »

Had to get a Pre-Rushmore subforum added here - some of us still roll the old school models. I'm going to keep my 08 rolling as long as I can - keep those little 16"s rolling all over North America.

Lots of mods, almost all done with my own hands and tools. My young son once said to me, "Dad, why do you buy bikes that you like to work on all the time?". My response, "I wouldn't say I like it". lol. I do appreciate that I know what has been done to my bike and that I did it myself.

Beautiful! I also like you can click on the pictures and get the full-size view with real details of your bike.

I loved my 07. Had it 10 years. Sold it outright and bought a new 2016, the last year of the TC88. Of course, the next year they came out with the M8.

I waited 10 years for that new engine- just to miss it by 1 year. I did trade the 16 on a 17 though. Even kept the Tour-Pak's and mods I made to the 16 because Harley kept the same color for the next year - Velocity Red Sunglo.

That's what I said about my 09 when I bought the 24. I will die with my 09. And besides, what's better than one RG? Two of them lol
